I’ve just updated this route for 2026, with a few changes to keep things fresh and rideable. It still features some of the highlights, including MICROWAVE CORNER and the awesome hand-cut trail through the HOLES OF DOOM section! 🔥

I’ve also removed two sections that have unfortunately been damaged by recent flooding, but there’s still plenty of adventure, challenging terrain and epic riding packed into this route.

This route is totally doable on a mid-size ADV bike, but don’t expect an easy ride! 🔥 The rocky terrain in places definitely adds a challenge and keeps you on your toes.

There’s also a section through the forest where a tree has come down across the track. Luckily, there’s just enough room underneath to squeeze through — so it’s still passable, but take care!

For an even bigger adventure, link this route up with the Waimak River Northside ABR and you’ve got one hell of an epic loop! 

Definitely one for riders who enjoy a bit of technical terrain and a proper adventure!
